Dear All,
Ok, one more instalment in the (http://java-monitor.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4) saga (http://java-monitor.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33) and then I'll find something else to whine about. The Debian Tomcat package does not come with a webapps directory. You'll either have to configure your own or use context files to make sure Tomcat knows where to find your web applications.
Of course, you can always use the stock Tomcat from apache.org (http://tomcat.apache.org/download-60.cgi) and save yourself the headache. ;-)
I never meant to be so hard on the re-packaged Tomcats, but it seems that they are responsible for about 50% of the support questions I answer.
